MGN Group – T3 Motion

The global fossil fuel shortage is prompting more and more countries to explore clean energy avenues for state-level transportation purposes. Law enforcement in particular is one arm of government that requires reliable and effective deployment capabilities. Keeping in mind the global movement towards clean energy, Muziwandile Nala believes that the T3 Motion electric stand-up vehicles (ESV) are important contributors to the implementation of clean energy on the African continent.

As the sole distributor for T3 Motion products in Africa, Muziwandile Nala’s MGN Group has been working tirelessly to bring clean energy transportation to the African security sector since 2010. The T3i all-electric patrol vehicle boasts zero gas emissions, with two on-board rechargeable power modules providing 24 hours of uninterrupted usage.

T3 Motion has received multiple awards for technological innovation, including the Red Herring Top 100 North America Award and the prestigious 9/11 Transportation Security Enterprise Award from the Morrone 9/11 Centre for Counter Terrorism and Public Safety. Muziwandile Nala believes that partnering with companies that are dedicated to fighting terrorism and ensuring public safety is vital and necessary for the protection and wellbeing of all Africans.

Over 30 countries have already deployed T3 Motion ESV’s as part of their civil peace keeping efforts, and the reviews are all positive. John Radeleff of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department shares that, “The T3 serves as a raised observation platform for deputies, greatly enhancing their ability to see over crowds. It is providing a degree of speed and mobility that is proving greatly beneficial.”

Commenting on the T3’s ability to facilitate interaction between the public and the police, Captain Brian Gilligan of the Salem Police Department believes that, “It’s an icebreaker; people who might not normally speak with police might with this kind of vehicle. It’s so different, but it brings you closer to the people – so much closer than a cruiser (patrol car).”

The T3 Motion range of electric stand-up vehicles could save law enforcement agencies over R170 000 a year in operating costs as compared to fossil fuel-reliant vehicles. T3 Motion ESV’s can be deployed to enhance the security of airports, university campuses, shopping malls, lifestyle centres, and any other public area where civil security could be compromised.

Muziwandile Nala is passionate about transforming Africa into a region of clean energy, and shares the belief that public safety and counter-terrorism on the continent are key areas of interest in the pursuit of international peacekeeping.
